Multicultural Whangārei is a not-for-profit community based organisation supporting migrants and newcomers to Whangārei with their settlement process.
It also promotes positive race relations through community education, ensuring people of all ethnicities feel able to actively contribute to their adopted community.

Kia Ora, I’m originally from Brooklyn, New York and am of Caribbean & Latin American descent. I’ve lived in New Zealand for over 20 years; initially in the Wairarapa, then Aotea (Great Barrier Island) and now beautiful Whangarei. I have been working in the Adult Education sector for over five years and thoroughly enjoy working within our community. I am excited about my new role here at Multicultural Whangarei and am looking forward to the learning opportunities that lay ahead.

Kaimanaaki
Kia Ora, My name is Nataly and I am from Uruguay. I have been in New Zealand since September 2014 and had the pleasure to join Multicultural Whangarei as a Kaimanaaki.
Governance
Multicultural Whangārei is run by a volunteer committee of four executive officers and four to six additional committee members who oversee the governance of the organisation, set strategic goals and advocate for the centre.
